I'm not a teacher by trade, but I've worked with kids in non-profit settings. When my husband was laid off, I knew I needed to find a way to make money but wasn't ready to commit to full time work again. I tried many work-from-home schemes but I HATE sales, and was tired of hustling hard for less than minimum wage. When I heard of VIPKID, I was already jaded from the empty promises of the many multi-level companies I'd heard of before, but I was desperate.

DESPERATE ENOUGH TO TRY |
The hiring process was intense, and I almost quit before I started. (That's why VIPKID pays teachers to mentor prospective hires through the process!). But the minute I had my first student on the other side of the screen saying, "Hi, Teacher!" I was in love. And then when the first money transfer arrived in my bank, I was hooked! I absolutely LOVE teaching these kids, the money has brought our family through some tough financial times and I love that I don't have to put my own kids in daycare to do it.
