Keep it simple!Rather than going all out and buying the best of everything, start with what you have. Do you have a gaming system with a headset or those iPhone earbuds? Use those. Grab some toys from your kids rooms or print off some clipart for props. Hit the dollar store for a map or alphabet poster as your background, and put those desk lamps to good use for now. I started with dollar store headphones and wall stickers, and props printed off my computer. As I've continued, I upgraded to a $20 pair of headphones that I love from Staples, and next month I plan to do something about my lighting.

Each class is 25-28 minutes long. You'll see a split screen with the slides you are teaching for that class (think powerpoint) and smaller screens with you and your student, just like Skype or FaceTime. Each class is 1-on-1, so there's lots of room to really get to know your students! Classes are booked on the hour and half hour, and experienced teachers will often teach 6-8 classes in a row! Once the class is over, you write a paragraph or two of feedback to the parents to tell them how their child did. It's a way to celebrate what they're learning and give pointers to practice at home.
